Defining a Nation 2:00 – 4:00 pm

by Khurram Ali Shafique.

The Second and Third Workshop of the Seven Workshop Series

One workshop looks upon ‘Faith’ as the determining factor in the structure of the Muslim nation according to Iqbal & Quaid-i-Azam. The term – ‘faith’ – was understood at that time to mean almost the opposite of how it is generally defined today.

One workshop tackles the following questions pertaining to being a ‘Nation’: How was a nation defined by the founding parents of Pakistan, how is it relevant today, and what should we do in order to use it as a dynamic solution for the problems facing us today? These questions will be answered in this interactive and interesting workshop through activities and video discussions.

Khurram Ali Shafique is an Iqbal scholar who has received a Presidential Iqbal Award.
