Reading Imam Ghazali (r.a.) (Sunday Mornings)

Hast-o-Neest Institute of Traditional Studies & Arts
& SERSociety for Educational Research
invites you to

Reading Imām Ghazālī (r.a.)
beginning Sunday, 3rd November 2013

Join us every first Sunday of the month on a journey of inspiring readings
of Imam Ghazali (r.a.) with Shaykh Jahangir Mahmud
12:30 to 1:30 pm, followed by langar & Zuhr prayers

We will begin the journey with a brief introduction to the Imam and then continue with selectons from one of Imām Ghazālī’s final works, Bidayah al-Hidayah  - The Beginning of Guidance - which embodies a lifetime of learning, experience, and spirituality and can be taken as an introduction to his larger works. A highly motivational manual detailing the fundamentals of acquiring guidance through God-consciousness (taqwa). Imam Ghazali argues that just as there is an end to this noble objective there is also a beginning to it, which must be made firm for one to achieve success.

Shaykh Jahangir Mahmud Sahib is an Islamic research scholar and educationist with an Ijazah (License) in Traditional Islamic Sciences, tasawwuf as well as a Bachelor's degree from Pakistan’s foremost colleges.

Author of nearly twenty books, he has conducted over 10,000 trainings in Pakistan and abroad.
