At: 3, Iftikhar Ahmed Malik Road, Shariff Colony, Canal Park, Gulberg II, Lahore.

“The Study Quran” is a recently released classical translation of the Quran and commentary by Seyyed Hossein Nasr, Caner K. Dagli, Maria M. Dakake, Joseph E. Lumbard.

Drawn from a wide range of traditional Islamic commentaries, including Sunni and Shia sources, and from legal, theological, and mystical texts, The Study Quran conveys the enduring spiritual power of the Quran and offers a thorough scholarly understanding of this holy text.

With an introduction by its general editor, Seyyed Hossein Nasr, here is a nearly 2,000-page, continuous discussion of the entire Quran that provides a comprehensive picture of how this sacred work has been read by Muslims for over 1,400 years.

Abbas Husain has directed the Teachers' Development Centre, Karachi since 1997. He is one of the founders of the Society of Pakistan English Language Teachers (SPELT) and has published in national and international journals. From 2009 to date, he has regularly been conducting a Quranic Study Circle in Karachi. He has co-authored three textbooks of Islamiat  published in Pakistan, and his major contribution is his complete study of the Quran in English, completed after six years in 2002.
