Classical Farsi: Level-I (6 weeks)
The course would be taught in the manner and technique used in traditional Islamic pedagogy which aims at not only using tried and tested methods of training the mind and memory but also imbibing the spirit and blessings of the tradition. One of the course books - traditionally a standard text for beginning level Farsi - 'Karima Saadi' by famous 13th century mystic, poet and moralist Saadi Shirazi, illustrates how the foundations of traditional culture were laid in the formation of young minds from the very beginning of their education. The book focuses on the basic virtues and vices of human nature in beautiful easily memorised Persian poetry.
