Introduction to Sufi Orders; Readings from Sufic literature and poetry.

In this interactive seminar basic fundamental questions such as Who is a 'dervish'? Who is a 'Murshid'? What is the need for such a relationship? Why do people go to 'mazaars'? Is this separate from the religion Islam? will be answered. This 2-Day seminar allows for open room for question and answer on the subject of 'Sufism'.

Adeel Khan is managing editor of Religions, a scholarly journal published by the Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue, where he has worked since 2011. He studied at Wolfson College, Cambridge and he researches socio-cultural contexts of Islamic knowledge transmission.
